G.M Giacomelli
Gianmarco Maximilion Giacomelli (b. 1984) is a contributing writer and researcher to
island6 Arts Center. Born in Canada, he is a graduate of Dalhousie University, Canada and Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Max uses his broad traveling, literary and entrepreneurial experience to give literary accompaniment to pieces made in the island6 studio, such as Revenge at the Hairdressers and Feeling Fancy, among others. His creativity is fostered from the diversity of his careers, ranging from writer to equity analyst to manager of clinical studies for thalassemia patients at the University of Kelaniya Hospital in Sri Lanka. Max is also the owner and founder of a seasonal pre-home sale preparation company in Canada, providing him with construction and painting skills valuable to the island6 Arts Center’s production process.
