Li Lingxi 李翎溪 was born in 1975, in Harbin, China. 
She graduated from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Art College in 1992, majoring in ballet, classic and folkloric Chinese dance.
 Lingxi has worked in the 2nd Artillery Corps Troupe of Chinese PLA and Shanghai Song & Dance Company. Later she took interest in modern dance and joined Jinxing Modern Dance Company and started her modern dancer career in Shanghai.

Since 2000 she has worked and performed with the Jin Xing's Modern Dance Company in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Monaco, Belgium, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

In 2003, she went abroad to study advanced ballet, composition, contact improvisation and choreography in Norway.

In 2005, she choreographed her first work called "Dialogue" that was later performed at the Beijing Grassland Art Festival (May 2007).
In April 2005, she collaborated with German choreographers Jutta Hell and Dieter Baumann (Rubato Dance Co.) and performed in a representation of "Eidos_Tao" in Berlin.
In 2006 she collaborated with Czech choreographer Barbara Kryslova Greiner and choreographed her first solo dance performance.
She performed in the choreographies of Philippe Talard, including "The State of the World" in Luxembourg and "Beyond Borders" in Italy and France.
 In August 2008, she directed and choreographed her first successful international project "Bach and Chinese Dragon" in collaboration with German Alta Ripa Symphony Orchestra, premiered in Hanover Germany, then toured in other cities.

She's currently working in Shanghai as an independent dancer, choreographer and art director, engaging in dance production, seeking the cooperation of artists from different backgrounds and exploring new possibilities of dance expression.
