ABOUT

The world’s hottest actor and actress float onto the set, riding multi-million dollar contracts like magic carpets. Under the holy beams of the most revered lighting expert, against the backdrop of the isolated paradisiacal landscape, the perfect bodies take the poses arranged for months to emanate the very pinnacle of romance, lust, and realized fantasy. And after twenty takes, four months of editing and two years of aggressive, unyielding hype, chemistry is conveyed. Meanwhile night after night in the crushed masses of a frenzied nightclub, two strangers slide against each other’s sweaty bodies, a tank-top soaks between skins, hair sticks to lips, noses collide, adrenaline levels unite with overpowering bass, and human electricity drives up pulses and body heat to dangerous levels as two bodies of flesh connect like a circuit. In "Slurp", the two faces coming together across the interface are represented by a set informational computerized code that moves through one LED to the next, similar to the sensory system within the living human body. The LED piece seeks to replicate our own electric nature. [Pete Bradt]
