A ship nears the port; every thought is turned to what lies beyond. Shanghai sailors do not have leave while on a voyage, they are committed to their post the entire trip. It is when they reach their final destination that they are able to break loose and enjoy freedom. Ching feels the hunger and the drive to hunt down his future; his craving will be satisfied as just around the corner is the Majestic luring our young man while he recovers his 'sea legs.' Here the cabaret ladies will take his mind off the turbulent ocean voyage. The air is teeming with anticipation as the vessel draws closer and closer to the Shanghai port. The excitement starts to tingle in his toes and finger tips as he daydreams what the future moments will bring.
