ABOUT

In a world of “you are what you eat”, half the work equals half the compensation. But does half the compensation necessarily mean half the work? Is that cupcake from lunch worth worth the extra 20 minutes on the treadmill? In this tongue in cheek LED animation, Liu Dao presents those whose life is deemed half of what they would wish: demi-gods, torn between the plainness of humans and the illustrious victories of the Gods on Mt. Olympus. With half the strength, they may certainly not echo those Grecian sculptures, nor those statuesque males from Bruce Weber’s photographs, but that doesn’t mean our slim(er) LED doesn’t have anything to offer - look at how he painstakingly attempts to seduce you with his flexing of ‘discreet’ muscle. Who knows, he may be the next Hercules… [Jack Mur]
