"Megalomania" (自大狂)
"Megalomania" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
When weighing up the cradle of civilisation, how the depth and complexity of language and writing evolved from grunt noises and crude drawings on cave walls or how technology and modern medicine which defy God came into being.
It’s clear that the hands of man are the tools of the mind driven by ambition and curiosity.
After all, Columbus discovered the Americas by mistake out of his curiosity in his search for China and the result of mans ambition is clear from the environmental impact we have had on the 4.54 billion year old rock we call home.
Maybe we’re missing a trick? The Crane has inhabited this planet for nearly 10 million years, surviving ice ages, living in harmony with nature and finding fame in the spiritual hearts of our ancestors, illuminating the mythologies of the Egyptians, Celts, Ancient China and Ancient Japan. Here is our testament to the Crane, as we acknowledge the fragility of life in its paper form Origami state but immortalise its glory in metal for only they know the secret of true survival in fame and fable. They were here before us and will most likely live long after we have gone.
