Moganshan Lab is the name given to the one month artists' residency in Island6 Arts Center during September 2007. The residency covered electronic, digital and interactive work that was shown during "Made in Shanghai", an exhibition created on the occasion of the eARTS festival organized by the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation.
In this Moganshan Lab factory, which ultimate target is creativity and experimentation, technology is the common language. Team work and cultural exchange helped the creation of artists, those who can maneuver laser lights, CNC router, motion tracker, computer controlled vinyl cutter, arc welder but also PCB etching and software programming. With their help, technology becomes organic, digital reality comes alive, begins to speak, dream, conspire, and seduce.
Moganshan Lab was made possible thanks to the support of the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation and Island6 Arts Center.
