Due to a shipping mishap and other administrative misfortunes, we were forced to postpone the opening of our new show, “island of Oddities“, which was supposed to launch the bizarre collection of little-known oddball and tycoon, Yüan Meng Ch’ien. However, what with all the food and drink already prepared, we thought we might as well proceed with the festivities. We were a little apprehensive, though, about the number of guests who would show up after our cancellation message. Still, preparations went full steam ahead:

Turns out we needn’t have worried. Our drinks doctors were kept very busy all night, tending to happy, slightly tipsy patients who flooded the “cancelled” party all night:

Thank you to everyone who graced our event and forced us to uncancel the cancelled opening! It was a touching show of support and we are filled with gratitude and gladness. Do come by the gallery over the next few weeks as we add more to the eccentric tycoon Yüan Meng Ch’ien’s odd collection (as soon as our crates are released from their crate jail).
