The films of director/image-maker Daan Noppen (Arhem NL, 1977 – lives in Amsterdam) are characterized by expressionistic drama and great aesthetic value. He turns man’s internal emotional landscape into high impact visuals that offer multi-layered analysis of the human psyche and existence.
The work we present here, Melaina Chole, is a project partly commissioned by 11 Club (Amsterdam) and first shown in 2004. Other artist’s short movies have played at various festivals in Europe, such as "Shot By The Sea" in the United Kingdom (2003).
