Juliette Anne McCawley (London, 1971; raised in Trinidad) lives and works in Shanghai. After 15 years of acting on stage and in films, she began to delve into the world of filmmaking. As a writer/director/editor she is able to combine her passion for storytelling, photography and acting. Since 2004, she has created six short films which have been screened in Shanghai. She has also collaborated on several award winning film projects. As a photographer and a filmmaker she often explores themes of alienation within an urban environment.
