island6 Arts Center Residency Program

Shanghai is an inexhaustible city, changing and shifting every instant, every blink of the eye.
island6 Arts Center set up its residency program in 2006 as an interactive opportunity for artists to build a relationship with the city of Shanghai.

From May 2006 to May 2010, the island6 residency program has sponsored or exhibited 139 resident artists, organized more than 40 exhibitions and helped in the creations of 1900 art projects.

Since June 2010, the residency program focuses on supporting the Liu Dao art collective, is closed to non-Chinese nationals and is by invitation only.
