Zou Susu 邹林峰 was born in Guiyang (China) in 1977. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts at Guizhou university in 2004. In his work he questions the self, trying to find a different way of experiencing identity. Through different media such as video art, laser installation and soundscape, he dances on the thin line of the public representation and inner spirituality; During his education he set up Mandone Art Studio in 1999 with five other fellow artists from the school. In 2007, Zou Susu participated in "Remote/Control", an interactive multimedia art exhibition held at MOCA Shanghai, and in the notorious French festival "Nuit Blanche" for its first Chinese edition. In February 2008, he was one of the artists chosen by Manaart and island6 to be represented during the first edition of Roma Contemporary Art Fair.
Due to the original nature of his work, Zou Susu has been given many names. Art critic Rebecca Catching refers to him as a "digital crusader", whereas art critic Rajath Suri describes him as a "polymath" (English PDF / Chinese PDF).
Zou Susu is one of te main pillar of the art collective Liu Dao 六岛.
