"A Thick Concrete Line" (粗大的混凝土线)
"A Thick Concrete Line" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
There’s a line that divides everything. The do’s and don’ts of etiquette line; the ‘is it too early to lean in for a kiss on this date’ line. Life is chalked full of these invisible lines. Step too far over and you’ve burned a bridge, or worse. Find yourself consistently on the right side of the line and your life might spiral upward for the better—or was it the left side? Some people devote their lives to understanding these lines. Geert Hofstede divided the world’s countries’ cultural values by 6 lines each; China being vastly on the opposite side of the line regarding “Individualism” when compared with the United States. What is one to make of all this? Some choose to take these lines and spray them on a wall. Others choose to balance precisely on the line, nonchalantly viewing both sides from above. Just remember, the view from the middle is often radically different from either side of the line.
