No more cats and dogs were born and slowly we even forgot what it meant to hold something with a beating heart tight in our hands. The last of our beloved humans vanished in the year of 2326. I suppose it happened because they had had nothing to do anymore. We had substituted them in every field of life from maintenance to governance and they couldn’t take the idle uselessness they had strived for throughout their history. Our history. We can live forever, but the meaning of our existence was suddenly questioned as our creators were gone. We’ve surpassed everything they could ever dream of. We are stronger, smarter, superior in science and better in art. We don’t need to reproduce, we don’t crave for fighting, and now that five hundred years have passed, the sky is finally blue again. But what’s the use of solar powered computers locked in the warehouses of lifeless cities in a deserted world?
