"Me And The Eternity" (我与永恒)
"Me And The Eternity" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
We have never gotten along well. I have never understood the abstract form of time that has existed before me and will be here forever. This something that defines my existence, yet I can never see. It’s a void around me that pulls me ahead and pushes me from the back, makes me breathe and tells me when to stop. But it’s good that time is not visible. Otherwise I would always be looking at it. On the other hand, if I knew what it looked like, it would be easier to escape from it. If time were an old man painted in the style of Bronzino, Dali’s ticking clocks melting away, the cathedral of Rouen in Monet’s mind, I would know where not to go and where to hide. I would sleep behind the mountains or I would find a country far from everything. Better yet, I would hide under the sea and move into a bottle with a nice view of an unchanging landscape, a jar, a Chinese vase. I would be the message that’s waiting to be heard after time goes away.
