What a time to be alive! Our teachers, dirty bourgeoisie that they are, hang their heads as they pass us by. They know that this is our time and the old society will be dismantled. I heard from the seniors we are to march to Beijing and join the other Red Guard at the personal request of Mao himself. Perhaps on the road I will meet a boy that fills me with the same love I have for my country and my leader. I want to look in his eyes and see the same fire of rebellion burning in my heart. As we move from town to town our love will be immortalized across the country. For now though, I am happy with only my little red book and the flutters that fill my chest from the thoughts of things to come.
