"Wrong Side Of The Road"
"Wrong Side Of The Road" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
Driving is an inherently democratic endeavor. It is a conversation-- sometimes an argument-- about how best to exist on the road together and also get to where we’re going. We, as individuals, must be both skilled and knowledgeable enough to contribute to the larger project of traffic while still maintaining our individuality enough to take the exit we need to reach our destination. By and large, driving is an experimental process. Where a person goes and how they get there is totally up to the whims and desires of the one driving. Perhaps the most thoroughgoing question since human beings created, elevated, and then completely conquered the road: “Can I make this light?”. Often, the answer is no, not legally. But we try anyway! We can’t help it. This is an uncertain business, full of dangers and perils and expense. We know this. But who knows what exactly waits around the curve? All we can hope for is a working radio and a place to receive us.
